The rain barrel looks as nice as the pictures. The mesh to keep the bugs out does not fits snuggly snuggly and I will need to add aluminum screen. There are two round cut outs near the top at the back of the rain barrel and I assume that’s for venting air as the barrel fills as well as when water is dispensed. Or I suppose it could be for overflow There was no diagram of the rain barrel explaining all the nuances. I’m concerned mosquitos will find these holes as well as the two holes at the top of the barrel in the channel near where the water is collected.. Paula. Fort Worth, TX. Sun May 17 2026

I really like this rain barrel. The green color is more muted than in the picture. It’s more of a gray-green than olive green. I have two of these - the first is connected to the gutter downspout and the overflow tube on that one is connected to the second barrel. The first barrel is elevated above the second. Looking forward to seeing how these perform over the summer!. Kathryn. Minneapolis, MN. Tue May 05 2026

Seems to be made of good quality except the screen on top. In less than a week outside it looks like the screws have already begun eroding. It is also concerning that it doesn’t sit flush with the top allowing bugs to get inside. Definitely not interested in a mosquito breeding ground. Other than that the esthetics of it are spot on and the spigots on the side feel nice and heavy duty.. Ashley. Texas. Thu Apr 16 2026

The Rain Vault can provide 50 gallons of pure, unchlorinated water when municipalities declare periods of low water usage. During heavy rainfalls, a typical roof can produce hundreds of gallons of water. By saving that water, you can reduce your average water usage by up to 40%. With those kinds of savings, the Rain Vault can pay for itself in just a few seasons. The Rain Vault features an attractive Faux oak barrel design so it naturally fits in with your landscape. And the wide variety of colors allows you to even further match your barrel to your home and yard without standing out. Its plastic screen mesh is newly designed to keep out bugs, animals, and debris while still being easy to remove for cleaning and maintenance, and is gentle on the skin.

I like the look of the barrel. A bit rustic in surface texture, but elegant too, in the shapely design. I have not yet hooked it all up, I have to build the patio it's going to be on first, but I have high hopes for its use in the future. It solved the problem of how I was going to avoid stepping over a downspout to get to the patio. The barrel, suggested by a friend, was the perfect solution. I also feel very eco-forward having one. Plus it got here in 3 days. Amazing, Wayfair.. Catherine. MI. Tue Jul 21 2026
