This trunk is the perfect coffee table piece! I’m awaiting two leather club chairs, so I’m not quite finished in the area. But I just moved in and do not have enough storage. This held 15 years worth of photo albums. And still is able to shift location with the handles. Not flimsy at all. I was looking for something to hold blankets and pillows and this fits the bill! There were a few issues putting it together, mostly attaching the soft close hinges- they didn’t want to match up with the pre drilled holes and it took some force to make sure they were even close. Also the board for the bottom is very thin but with the 2 braces it doesn’t seem to be a problem. It is holding various sizes of blankets and pillows for my kids to grab when needed. This bench is made of very sturdy wood and looks great. I do agree with other reviewers who have mentioned that the hinges are cheaply made in comparison to the rest of the bench. The lid is very heavy so it will be interesting to see how long the hinges will hold up. I had previously ordered the same bench from another vendor and it showed up completely busted, but this time there was only minor internal damage. I think the problem lies in the fact that it is shipped pre-assembled, which is convenient, but if not handled properly in transit it leads to damage. Overall I am pleased with my purchase..
