Overall the cabinet is a good quality. Finish is a black texture that hides finger prints well. Door is solid with one keyed lock securing it. Door is mounted on internal, spring loaded posts top and bottom. You can remove the door if needed. A nice touch is the 5 internal shelves on the door back. They measure 9.5" x 1.6". Front door is solid feeling. Side panels have some flex. Back panel seems to flex more than the sides. This is a concern since you mount the cabinet using the back panel. Although it was packaged well, it somehow came with a small dent in the side (see picture). My husband loves this gun safe! It does require assembly, but thankfully it was fairly easy to put together. Once assembled, it feels sturdy and has a ton of storage. He especially likes the adjustable shelves and the extra lockable compartment inside, which is great for keeping smaller items or valuables separate and secure. The biometric fingerprint lock is another really nice feature and makes accessing the safe quick and convenient. I was also pleasantly surprised that it came with a fireproof pouch for storing important documents. That was a thoughtful extra that makes the safe even more useful. This biometric gunstorage safe is totally worth the money. It took my husband about 2 hours to assemble with only a little help from me to hold certain things in place. It’s biometric so you can program up to 30 fingerprints, make a code, or use the keys. It came with a very convenient fireproof document bag. In the upper left corner of the cabinet there is also a smaller locked cabinet that you could store things like cash or jewelry in. Our rifles fit in this well and I can even put my arrows in it too. I decided to keep it because the safe itself is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I asked if they could tell me the paint color so I could touch up the marks myself, and instead, they offered to send me a bottle of matching paint. Things don’t always arrive perfectly. To me, what matters is how a company responds when something goes wrong. I dealt with actual humans who were helpful, responsive, and genuinely wanted to make it right. The safe is beautiful, I’m happy with my purchase, and based on the customer service alone, I would absolutely purchase from Sanctuary again and recommend them to others. Overall, this is a sturdy, well-made gun safe. It was well packaged, arrived quickly, and feels very solid and secure. My biggest issue is that the product description states that the safe has a biometric fingerprint lock, but the one I received does not. It does have a digital code lock powered by an internal battery, and it includes a backup battery in case the internal battery fails. However, there are no instructions explaining how to use the backup battery, which would have been helpful. The safe itself seems to be good quality and I’m happy with how sturdy it feels. Good basic safe for keeping firearms secure from children I’m satisfied with this safe for what it is. Assembly took approximately two hours, so be prepared to spend some time putting it together. Once assembled, it feels reasonably sturdy and does what I purchased it to do. The electronic lock is a nice convenience and makes accessing the safe much easier than dealing with a traditional key lock. The primary purpose for me is keeping firearms safely secured and out of the hands of curious children, and I believe it accomplishes that well. That said, buyers should have realistic expectations about the level of security this safe provides. It is not a high-security safe designed to withstand a determined thief, and it offers no fire protection whatsoever. I would consider it a good option for basic firearm storage and keeping unauthorized family members from accessing firearms, but I would look at a much heavier and more robust safe if theft or fire protection is a major concern. This gun safe is amazing. It is very attractive as a storage cabinet in any room. The details on the outside of the door like the filigree pattern on the corners are great. Then on the inside this has it all. A small compartment with it's own separate key for valuables makes them doubly safe. Included is a zippered envelope style container for documents. It is perfect for papers, jewelry or cash. This is waterproof too. There are a few different ways to unlock this safe and would definitely be very difficult for a child to access the contents. Once you turn the key it is still necessary to turn the knob below it to open the door. There is a fingerprint option too in case you want access the contents quickly. I love the light up feature when the safe is opened too. It will be handy to not fumble around in the dark. There is plenty of space for rifles and pistols and you can even modify the gun rests.. On the inside of the door there are several different pockets to keep all of our gear truly organized. Another great feature is an alarm after someone tries to open the safe too many times and fails. Didn't realize it required assembly until it got here. Probably my fault for not reading carefully. It's a decent storage locker, but the gun rests are not great and isn't quite a sturdy as I hoped for from the pics, but it will do. This safe is better than what I expected. I got this safe to keep some family inherited firearms organized and safely stored. The construction is of good quality. Assembly and instructions were thorough. Took about 2 hours. The locking mechanism is very good with keys, code or biometric options. This is heavy metal! See how thick the lid is? I have some other cheap gun safes but those are like tin-can to this one. It is solid heavy, 12 gauge steel I guess? Surprised for this price. Big enough for my 2 guns and clips. Programming is simple and straight-forward, easy to use. Fingerprint works well, the spring lid pops up pretty quick.
