There are adjustable shelves and a motion sensor light that comes on when you open the safe. To open it, you can either use the key or program your code and use the keypad. This came in the mail. I live in an apartment so I had to go down and bring up a 90 pound box from the mail room. As, FedEx did not even bother to bring it to my door. I open the box and it’s tons of pieces to assemble together. I start trying to assemble it together, and the holes were either not already drilled, or they were way too small for the screws. Didn't realize it required assembly until it got here. Probably my fault for not reading carefully. It's a decent storage locker, but the gun rests are not great and isn't quite a sturdy as I hoped for from the pics, but it will do. This gun safe was packaged well. The instructions left out a few steps but it was fairly simple to put together on my own. It’s a nice small locking gun safe. This is good to store guns in so that no one accesses them but it is not a heavy duty protective gun safe that would keep an intruder from breaking into nor fire safe.
