My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with this cabinet. It did arrive with one panel slightly bent, but my husband was able to lightly tap it with a hammer back into shape. It was carefully packaged well, but it is very heavy, and arrived by freight, so some bending is probably inevitable. We are using this in the garage, so we don’t mind a couple small dings. My husband said the assembly was relatively simple. There were a lot of pieces and it took about 2 hrs to put together. The drawers are smooth, and lock well— same for the cabinet doors. This cabinet was very difficult to put together due to poor instructions, that did not explain that certain pieces needed to be bent once they were put in place. And it made it very difficult to figure out which way the pieces went. It would have been so much easier with more clear instructions. There are also some dings and scratches in the cabinet. I wasnt too worried about that. Because its going in the basement. But it did not come in perfect condition. These were quick to arrive. Packaged well. Pretty heavy. Every piece had foam in between so no scratches in the metal pieces have to admit some steps were harder and the instructions could be clearer. It took me about 2 hours to assemble on my own but needed help in one part - someoneto hold the pieces to make sure they are level while I screw the two panels together. Overall, I wanna give this a 3.5 because it’s so tedious and sometimes frustrating. But once you get past the difficult steps, everything went smoothly. I like the look of it.
