It took longer than expected to receive the countertop but it arrived in immaculate condition and looks amazing. I put on 3 thin coats of wipe-on water based satin polyurethane to protect it and sanded lightly with steel wool in between coats. The polyurethane really brought out the color without adding too much sheen - it is gorgeous. I know there were some unfavorable reviews for this countertop but I recommend it highly.. Terrell. Nice smooth edges too so no additional sanding needed. They were less than half the cost of what I could get through my local big box DIY store. This was a awesome find. Never knew it would be this hard to find a bar top but if you can get your hands on it purchase with confidence. It is finished beautifully and only needs to be installed. If you try to buy this direct the shipping costs are outrageous. Just get it from Wayfair as it ships 10x faster and is actually cheaper when you account for the shipping costs of company direct.
