Works well for mostly used items. I wish I had of gotten the dark grey instead of stone color. I definitely need a bigger one for holding totes. The product arrives in two long, flat boxes. The packing was sufficient for the most part except for the triangular pieces that are part of the roof. They were dented and scratched, but I didn’t think it was worth my time and trouble to try to have them replaced, so I pounded out the dents with a rubber mallet. The flaws are visible, but not as bad as how they came. Each piece of metal is covered with plastic film that should be removed before assembly, which takes a lot of time and patience, but once removed the metal surfaces are very clean with a good coating. Assembly definitely requires two people and several hours since there are over 300 screws, but once assembled, the structure is very solid. I was impressed with the engineering. All of the screw holes lined up and the instructions/diagrams were easy to follow. I built a wooden deck with 2x6 treated joists and treated plywood for the floor and screwed the base to that. I ordered the shed in grey…it arrived on time and my handyman and I put it together in about 4 hours. It was a bit overwhelming but I am happy with the result. The floor was not very sturdy but my handyman solved that by putting treated wood below it and now it is very sturdy. In addition we used the hardware included and drilled it into the concrete slab we made for it to stand on. For the cost, it's 4 stars. It has not made its way outside yet, so that could change. The pieces appeared damaged, and my husband struggled to assemble between that and the instruction booklet - took him probably 4 hours total and he was not happy LOL. But once built, it actually looks nice and I'm excited to use it! The outward facing panels are coated in a protective plastic that I would have assumed needed to be peeled off but my husband insisted that was not reflected in the instructions and so he left it on "to help keep the color from fading". The Suncast 8x10 Shed is a nice addition to our property for our storage needs. I will admit the process of putting together the shed was not as easy as other reviews had suggested (however that is probably user error). Having a level base is extremely important as any uneven surface will cause the roofing and doors to not align as needed and will create some issues while putting it together.
