Love the carport! We had construction guys install it with concrete footings. No easy digging in the Rocky Mountains! Also had a different roof put on to match our red roof. I needed this carport to use as an outdoor workspace for upcoming renovations. Its the next best thing to a garage. I do recommend installing the roof canopy after the roof frame has been assembled. Assembling the roof canopy after the frame was fully erected proved to be cumbersome. Highly recommend using a four-step ladder or 6 ft ladder. I was able to assemble alone. We are experiencing 30+deg weather so we have been working slowly on it. It seems to be well built and the directions are easy to follow. Good portable garage and I was very happy with the package contents. It took me 5 hours by myself to put this together am happy with this unit. Let me tell you why. The setup is based on photosimages but the hardware needed is listed by size. The tubular framing is marked and the untalkation image tells it all. Once the frsme was assembled the f t onto, rear the finally the top cover were installed. I was happy at this point with the way everything was going. You now have the lower cross tubular supports to install on each side. After this was completed I adjusted the front and rear tensioners and took a loom at the assembled portable garage. I was very happy and the height was much taller than the one I replaced. Finally and most important. The ground stakes and supports to keep this unit from leaving your yard from the wind. The twist into the ground anchors I faster with is cable and hardware thats not included I used the small ss cable and connectors that kept the last one i had un my yard. I also used heavy duty zip ties and the hammer in spikes for each support on the ground for each upright. I am very happy with this purchase. Just take your time with the intallation.. Charles. The instructions were easy to follow, but just be prepared to leave a lot of time to assemble this. Start to finish it took us a long weekend with mainly 1-2 people working on it at a time. This 12x20 metal carport feels like it is somewhat heavy-duty and well-made. However, assembly is highly complex and not an easy task. You will need at least three people to safely hoist the roof panels and align the heavy frame components. Due to this build complexity, I do not have pictures of the final product yet but will update my review once I do. Surprisingly sturdy- it was easy and straightforward to assemble it, I didn’t use their tools but my own to make a quicker set up. The only tricky part was trying to assemble it on top of the gate which is a little bit hard to line up and secure but once it was on - I think it will hold, this could be a great cover for chickens too but I’m using it for the horses and hope they will use it.
