Saro Table Lamp

The original retail price on this was over $200; I bought it on sale for less than $100. I like the quality and semi-distressed look of the base. It's a fine addition to my sitting area. It arrived quickly. My one gripe is that for a lamp with an original price tag on nearly $250, the shade that came with it is flimsy and cheap. Luckily, the lamp it replaced had an aftermarket shade that was less than a year old. A quick swap and the resulting look is great.

This beautiful table lamp is larger than I thought it would be. It is very sturdy and the build quality is excellent. The base is a matte black wood grain. The design has a unique modern style. It has a amazing presence and will look great on my end table in the living room. I love it and highly recommend.

This is really cool lamp! I wanted a lamp that was black but had some charm and this is it! The natural wood grains and cracks give it character, while the black makes it pretty sleek. It was super easy to assemble as well!

Nice lamp. It came packaged securely and on time all parts wrapped. It was easy to assemble and the image online is accurate. I'm not sure if intentional but the black base looks to be cracked in a few places for a distressed look so I deducted a star.

** Update after full unboxing & lamp set up, revising to 2-stars, Here's Why: > Upon unboxing & setting up the lamp, I thought I received a broken item, reached out to Wayfair, who immediately handed off the issue to the manufacturer, who responded with: --> Thank you for providing the detailed information of the item you received, along with photos. After reviewing the information provided, we can confirm you did receive the correct item. The item was designed to have the cracks on the bottom two levels on the lamp. If you reorder the lamp they will have the same cracks. Please let us know if you would like us to initiate a buyer's remorse return on your behalf ** My Feeling is, ok - well, I think the lamp would be a lot more appealing if the "rusti defects" weren't part of the design, but since apparently it is, I'll just face the ugly side towards the wall, & deal with it, that is until I find time to replace this lamp with something else I'm much happier with. === === === --- Original Review PRE Full Unboxing--- This Saro table lamp is just the right size to fit on the writing desk table I selected, and for which I intended to use this lamp on. Still in the process of final assembly on the desk, but I did open the box for the lamp & make sure it arrived in tact and seems to be in good shape, I'll be updating my review with additional pictures once my partner & I finish assembling to desk, but the lamp arrived safe & sound, very well packed, and has a decent cord length so plugging it into an available outlet shouldn't require an extension cord.

Updated review and rating. I received information that the cracks are part of the design. If you look at the picture of the white lamp on line closely there does appear a slight crack. But the lamp I received had multiple cracks that were not just on the surface. Very disappointed. I've not requested a replacement. The lamp arrived damaged. I am working with customer service to get the issue resolved and item replaced as I really like this lamp I ordered the white. It was well packaged and not evidence of any damage on the box. The lamp base was encased in styrofoam and secure in the box. The damage wasn't apparent until I removed the foam. The bottom 3 sections had some pretty bad cracks.
