Plastic Development Group 48'' W 105 Gallons Water Resistant Resin Deck Box

Received today.Assemled per instructions although only one screw and washer came in package and those were screwed into the item as if someone purchased and returned this before. My use for this was to store items I need to keep yet when I put my first item in it the bottom sunk and daylight came in all around the bottom edges. Hardly water resistant! I need to return this item for a refund on payment method used. Please send instructions for return. Rating it a one star for being a good size.

Disappointed. There are a number of problems with this particular box. My husband opened the package and assembled it to surprise me. He overlooked a chipped base as he deemed it as not really a problem. I would have sent it back at that moment, but he had already recycled the packaging. He said the assembly was easy, which is why this review got 2 stars. The design is faulty since when you open the box after a rain, droplets flow from the lid into the back of the box from where the hinges are mounted. The larger panels were warped making it even easier for water to get in if the top is raised. The photos show the damage on base of the box and the open box where the hinge holes and the top lid ledge with some pine needles that just come in like the water when the lid is opened. You can image how water slides off the top onto the ledge and down the back of the box and accumulates on the bottom of the box. We have added some dowels at the bottom of the box to keep our cushions dry. I purchased this box based on favorable reviews, but it is really disappointing for me.

The deck box looks really good but the first time it rained, was full of water. Disappointing for the amount of money I spent on it. Tried reaching out to the manufacturer but didn’t get a response back.

Love love love this deck box. Read every bad review of every other option in my size range and it addressed every issue. Assembly is genius and took just a couple minutes. The molded wood texture is nice and the lid seems unlikely to lift in the corners like so many reviews said of other options. It’s larger than I expected which now allows us to also store towels in addition to all the seat cushions and pillows. I’ve even got my custom volleyball net in there plus the poles! Price was better than any other option I was considering it’s a no brainer. PDG hit a home run with this one!

Arrived a day early. Easy to assemble, sides and back slid in easily. Top was a little tricky with one person but sit in a chair with top in your lap and it goes together well. Just what we needed for storage on our deck.

This was delivered earlier than originally estimated and I put it together in 10 minutes. Put all my beach stuff in there....including paddle for my kayak and now my deck looks so clean! We’ve had rain and snow since....everything has stayed dry. I highly recommend this box!

Unit is pretty rugged, assembly not difficult overall, but instructions werent included, so the secret to attaching the lid required me to contact wayfair, who contacted the manufacturor, who emailed me the directions. Then, completion was easy as pie.

Perfect for my patio furniture cushions! so far no water intrusion. happy with the box.
