The glass is non-porous and water-resistant, perfect for use in wet or dry conditions. Most glass subway tiles are simply painted on the back without a protective covering, this leads to imperfections, scratches, and defects throughout. The tiles are hand crafted using special techniques that consist of first painting the back with the desired color, then protecting the dried paint with a ceramic coating and firing it in a kiln. All glass subway tiles are sold in 6 square foot increments, each square foot is made up of 8 tiles. These are not on a sheet, they are sold loose so you can create your own pattern and ensure perfect grout lines and gaps without restricting you or delaying your project.
