The toasted almond glass subway tile is crafted from the highest quality glass using 100% recycled materials. Each tile is hand inspected at the factory and in-house before shipment. The glass is non-porous and water-resistant, perfect for use in wet or dry conditions. Most glass subway tiles are simply painted on the back without a protective covering, this leads to imperfections, scratches, and defects throughout. The tiles are hand crafted using special techniques that consist of first painting the back with the desired color, then protecting the dried paint with a ceramic coating and firing it in a kiln.
