This is NOT solid wood as advertised. Quality is poor.

Functional design let down somewhat by plywood backing panels tacked to frame at rear. The tacks do not have sufficient space in mid section and the chipboard isn't often able to hold tacks as well as one would hope. Does the job but backing panels are a bit "tacky!" Look OK from a distance, especially against a wall, but don't bear tooo much scrutiny close up. Otherwise, not bad.
