Certified to NSF/ANSI 58, the RCC7AK water filter is a multi-layered reverse osmosis system under a sink that provides optimal protection against over 1,000 different types of contaminants, removing up to 99% of rust, sediment, taste, arsenic, asbestos, chlorine, hormones, fluoride, lead (up to 98%), mercury, sodium, and more. The red mineral stone portion of the AK water filter adds back healthy minerals including calcium, and magnesium, that other systems don't. The calcite portion of the filter neutralizes the pH of the RO water. And the water tastes better too. Because RO water is so pure, some people may find it tastes unnatural.
