3 Ways to Style a Console Table

Add function and style to your entryway with these decorating ideas.

Entryways can function as so many things in your home. I've set out to show you how to take one console table (like this one from Blu Dot) and style it three different ways. Whether you simply want a beautiful entryway or one that works hard for you and your family, these ideas will have you inspired to jazz up the first thing guests see when they walk in the door.

1. Make it Pretty

Sometimes the foyer is just another place to showcase your style. Keep it clean, simple, and easy to change. Use layered pieces of art in similar frames and a statement lamp. I covered up a not-so-pretty planter with a beautiful fabric basket, which added dimension and pattern to finish out the look.

2. Keep it Organized

If you live in a small home or apartment, every area needs to be multipurpose. Use the entryway as an organizational hub. For this look, I spray painted a giant magnetic message board gold to hold notes and messages and added funky hooks to collect the things that get misplaced all too often. (Hint: My keys!)

3. Get Your Day Going

One of the most utilized places in a home is the mudroom. If you don't have one, turn to your entryway into one. Make that space the last stop of your morning routine by storing coats, shoes, and your pre-packed bag. All you need to do is grab and go!
