Babies come with a plethora of sweet smiles and cuddly moments...and a whole lot of gear! New parents usually expect a certain increase in tasks and a marked lack of sleep. On top of that, though, they often wind up overwhelmed by the sheer volume of stuff that comes with baby. Diapers, onesies, bottles, and nursing covers can quickly take over your neatly-planned space. Here are our favorite nursery storage ideas to maximize space and corral the clutter.

Itty Bitty Baby Ledge
Use a picture frame shelf to keep baby shoes in one place. This can also be a good way to create extra storage space in a narrow closet for small items like nail clippers, thermometers, and pacifiers.
Tiered Server Turned Storage
It's always a good idea to take stock of what you have and use objects around the house in fun new ways! Decorative tiered servers can serve as an interesting turntable for small books or a handy place to stash wipes next to the changing table.
Bathtub Toy Basket
Plastic-coated catch-all wire baskets can be stashed up high on command hooks for grab-and-go bathtub fun that drains completely when the soak is over. No standing water here!

Catch-All Crates
Many parents turn to laundry baskets to gather extra odds-and-ends, but we prefer the a few well-placed crates. They can be made to match the decor of just about any room so they look like an intentional design choice. Flip them over and you have impromptu seating that's perfect for a toddler. Best of all, you can stash anything in there! It's handy to have a place for everything from blankets to books to stuffed animals.
