• Here's how the butterfly leaf works:
• Open the Table: Pull the main halves of the tabletop apart on the included synchronized sliding track. This creates a gap in the center
• Unfold the Leaf: The butterfly leaf, which is a single piece folded in half and stored beneath the table's surface, is lifted out of the storage space
• Lay it Flat: The two halves of the leaf unfold outward—much like butterfly wings—and lay flat to fill the gap
• Close and Lock: The two main table halves are then pushed back together until they meet the edges of the now-flat leaf, creating a seamless, larger dining surface. A locking mechanism secures the expanded table
• To return to the compact size, the process is simply reversed: unlock, pull the table halves apart slightly, fold the leaf back into its storage position, and push the table halves back together
