Only thing that would make these better would be a lighter color. The opening at the top allows for more open air catchment since i dont want to catch from our older roof tops. Both are set up on bases to help support them. Took a bit for enough rain to collect to make the barrels heavy enough to withstand our high windows. Arrived surpringly quick. Relatively easy to set up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this water barrel and it's included features like the hoses and the catch all screen that goes over the top opening to stop debri from falling into the barrel. We have it set up with a down spout and rain barrel diverter to catch as much water as we can which in turn will help save on our well pump when it comes to watering the garden or our outdoor animals on occasion. I'm very impressed with the size and how much water it actually holds. Very well made and sturdy.

Assembly was simple and I love that the spout and hos are at the bottom to.make for easy emptying or transfer to my watering pitcher. We have only had rain in the last week so I had to wait to review it. It caught quite a bit of water for I KY a 4 day drizzle. The screen is effective against leaves, insects and debris. My neighbors are all on the hunt for one now when they saw mine. If I could change one thing it would be the recessed area thay the screen goes on. Water tends to collect in this area and not drain into the barrel. The only way to remove the water is to tip the whole barrel or sop it up with a towel. It's not a big deal though and doesn't take away from functionality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always wanted a rain catcher barrel! I love the size of this one and the construction. It was easy to set up on the side of my house. I set mine up on some bricks so that it would be kept off of the ground and level. I like being able to collect and use more rainwater for my gardening. I used to leave a few large pots out to water from but then mosquitoes and other insects were starting to be an issue if the water remained there too long. Now I have a more secure container with this. I really recommend this item!!

It makes watering my garden so much easier so I don't have to use water from hose and it can make it to where I can water everything in between rain storms. It doesn't take up too much room. It holds lots of water and it takes me awhile to use it but it is easily understandable on how to use it.

I had looked into rain barrels ,but was never sure on the actual reliable functionality of them. I will say this one is great. It comes with all the hardware, and is very durable. The only con I do see is the hose needs to be longer,but you can extend it yourself.

It is saving me time and money because I am able to water my live stock with rain water that I have close to the barn. I love it and will be purchasing more items in the near future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this FCMP Outdoor 50-Gallon Home Rain Water Catcher Barrel, is BPA free. As most of us that use a rain barrel to catch rain water to reuse to water our garden or put the water in our pond things like that. The last thing you want is BPA in your garden so I absolutely love this barrel. It's got a nice size of 50 gallons a screen to keep out bugs, leaves and debris. It does have a good weight to it so mine hasn't had any wind problems however I live in a dip so I don't have much trouble with the wind. The hose it comes with does pour pretty slow but I don't really mind. You do need to make sure you get everything tight I recommend lubricant when putting it together the first time to get it tight. I definitely love the look of my barrel it looks nice in my yard. It does smell funny when you take it out of the box, it needs to air out.
