I love this bed! It took 4 of us about 8 hours to complete it. All 4 weren't working on it at all times, but at some points we did need all hands on deck. We set out all the pieces in our garage the week before to make sure everything was here and then covered with a tarp to keep clean. Some of the parts weren't marked but you can tell what is what by looking in the instruction book. I wallpapered the boards that were the back of the shelves the previous week as well, just to break up all the white. I think it looks fantastic. The only part that didn't work for us were the anchors to attach the bed to the wall. We went to the local hardware store and bought some heavy duty anchors, we also had to put shims between the brackets and the wall, but that wasn't a big deal. All in all it was pretty easy to put together, it just took a while.

The assembly and design could use some real improvement. But considering the price, I'd say it is a decent value. The customer service was excellent! I had a problem pneumatic cylinders and they replaced them right away for me! The pneumatic tubes making raising and lowering the bed very easy, but they don't have a stopper in them (like a screen door) so you can't compress them again. This really limits the ability to move this bed after it's assembled. The base isn't heavy enough to hold the bed down, and I didn't find the drywall anchors provided strong enough, so I used some 2x4s (placed behind the bookshelf/frame) and metal brackets to reinforce it.

Not as sturdy as I thought, but serves it purpose in making my office an extra guest bed room if needed.

Bed comes in three very heavy boxes and requires several people to assemble. This item is well priced but as stated will require patience and muscle to put together. Returned item to Wayfair will exchange for a cabinet style Murphy bed.

Edit: Wayfair did make it right, but I still do not recommend this product. I can at least say that Wayfair did right by us with their customer service. Please take my advice and DO NOT purchase this murphy bed. Your time and patience with thank me! We received damaged order, missing parts, mislabeled parts or not labeled at all. The directions you were able to follow, then at other times, were very unclear. It took us every night after work for a week to get this finished, over 30 hours. This was due to all the guess work etc... We also had to purchase multiple parts ourselves due to the ones they provided not working (safety anchors) (too short) or were missing. Customer service was a nightmare as well. When we first noticed the missing parts I was able to speak to a manager. I requested to speak to one because the resolution to the issues we were having was pay for a maintenance tech they would charge me for. Which was not ok. BTW we never needed a maintenance tech. That would have been a total waste of money. The manager was friendly and helpful when we talked, but then he completely ghosted me and did not follow through on anything we talked about, so he turned out just be a waste of breath. Multiple emails and calls no response. I would call customer service back and they wouldn't help because a "manager was dealing with me". Finally, I had it after a week and a half of trying to reach him and called to return this purchase all together. They wanted me to return the whole piece, which I understand, but at this point to take it all apart again was just not an option. They offer a small % off for the damage and trouble but this was such a nightmare experience. I do not feel the compensation was reasonable for the stress and parts purchased. We finally just decided to purchase our own brackets + bolts and keep the murphy bed frame since it was almost finish. This experience has me seriously thinking of never even purchasing from Wayfair again. But please listen to my WARNING. DO NOT purchase this bed!!! Way too much of a headache and it cost way too much for the nightmare we dealt with.
