This is a hand tufted wool area rug with a traditional oriental design in brown. Hand tufted means yarn is punched through a backing by hand with a tufting tool, then secured with a latex backing, which gives a dense, even pile at a lower price than a knotted rug. The pile is about 1/2 inch thick. Sizes in this listing: 4' x 6', 6' Square, 6' x 9', 7'9" x 9'9", 8'9" x 11'9" and 9'6" x 13'6". It works in a living room, bedroom, dining room or home office. Made in India. Care: vacuum regularly without a beater bar, blot spills right away, and use a rug pad. Some shedding is normal in the first weeks.
