What the description does not mention is the lovely deep red and a country blue, (with a slight green tint), that accent the design. I put the runner in the entrance hall where the red highlights tie in with the reds in the library that is open to the hall. The pattern on the rug is graceful and lovely. The curves in the pattern match a curvy, distressed chest with filigree work on the drawers, which is also in the entrance way. The background tan is lighter than what it appears in the pictures. This is a very nice rug with a silky texture. It's thin, and has a very nice green tint. We have this rug laying in a small room, either a library or den, which is not well used. It lays over wall to wall Berber carpeting. We had to purchase a sticky carpet pad so this rug will not move and bunch up.
