My two cats love it and were climbing all over before it was even put together. We have this one and one by Molly and Friends that cost over twice as much. I considered another one by Molly and Friends but decided to take a leap of faith on this one because of the positive reviews, which are accurate. Construction on this one is just as solid and sturdy as the Molly and Friends, and this is super easy to assemble in 5 minutes with no tools. The cats (one at 11 pounds and the other at 14 pounds) run up and down it and play on it constantly with no worry of it tipping. The nests and the lounging area provide plenty of space to lounge and sleep or watch what is happening outside. The description is correct in that the carpet is thick and high quality. The only down side is the carpet color (which there is no option to choose) and it arrived in very unattractive tannish brown/gold (tobacco) color...yuck. Wow, I just really hate the color. Fortunately, it is in a room where it won’t be seen a lot. If it weren’t, it might have been worth springing for the Molly and Friends one because, while they are a lot more expensive, they are also great quality and you can choose the carpet color. Molly and Friends carpet colors are so much more neutral and WAY more appealing than this one. All in all this is a great quality for the money IF (which for me is a big one) you are willing to roll the dice on the color you end up with. For me, I hate the color so much I am not sure if it is worth the savings. I am keeping it but if I had it to do over I would probably swallow the pill and go with one by Molly and Friends.

great gift to spoil your furbabies!!!!
i bought this for my furbabies to be placed in the bedroom. this is to supplement a short tree i have in the room.i have a tree in the living room that i purchased in san francisco, and that cost me more that $300 [...]. the difference is in the price and the time needed to set the new tree up.it doesn't wobble at all, as indicated by some users. i think tightening the screws is in order, and possibly might affect the stability of the tree, possibly..i did not like the plywood look in the cubbyhole, so i pasted a hologram tissue over the plywood as an interim wallpaper.. ive to replace the hologram tissue once i find a nice shelving paper later.it took me about an hour to set it up, i was taking pictures at the same time, hence the hour required to complete the job. all the tools were provided, and the pictorial instructions were pretty easy to follow.i vacuumed all the platforms before setting them up, noticing platform D was abit dirty. i sprayed some cat cleaner detergent, then wiped it thoroughly clean with a warm, damp sponge, followed by blowdrying the platform. so this is the method i will use for future cleaning.i placed one of my babies' favorite soft pink inside the cubbyhole, and they instantly loved resting sleeping in there.my two babies have always love heights, and this is about the fifth tree i bought though its the first time i bought it online, and have to set it up myself. the tree has a really nice height, and i leaned it against the wall, in between another tree and their lounge table/scratcher.the label amarkat can be found everywhere - on the big delivery box, screws, and on the tree itself.. hehethe color is pleasant and neutral, thus making it fairly attractive. i'm glad i bought this gift for my babies. if u wanna spoil your kitties, this is a great way to show some love.sam

Best purchase ever!!!
As the owner of 4 cats, my furniture has taken quite a beating over the years. I've been searching and searching for just the right cat tree (size versus price) for quite some time, and after lots of frustration, came across this site. After reading some reviews (thank you everyone!!!), I decided to take the plunge and try it out. I am so glad that I did! I'll admit, as I was putting it together, I started to get a little scared about the size. It felt so BIG, I was wondering exactly what I'd gotten myself into. Two kitty helpers and I had the whole thing put together in about 45 minutes (it would have been 30 without their help, probably) and my littlest 4 month old daredevil ran right up to the top as I was putting the last piece on, with no hesitancy whatsoever. They absolutely love it! It's been almost a month since it was delivered and I'm still as happy with it as I was on day one. The tall top pedestals handle my 18 pound boy with no problems (I do have it against a wall though, just in case), it's one of his favourite places to catch his daily mid-afternoon cat nap. My bigger boys (16 lbs and 18 lbs) even fit in the little houses, which I was concerned might be a problem. I did take some reviewers advice and put a small, thin mat underneath the base, as the screws holding the first 4 pillars in place do stick out a tiny bit and would probably scratch my hardwood floors. I would say that's probably the only negative thing I have to say about this product, and it's not even that big of a deal. If anything, it makes it easier to move the tree around. A month later, the faux fleece is still fully intact, and my cats love the variety of scratching posts available. I would definately, highly and have recommended this product and this site to friends and family, and even to strangers in pet stores. Thank you!

Got this on sale and it definitely was worth the money. We have 2 cats (8 and 10 pounds). Here are the pros and cons to me: Pros: - relatively easy to assemble. One man job and it took all of 30-45 minutes (if ever moving it would be very easy to disassemble and reassemble... simply unscrew the bolts). Supposedly you can also buy any part of the tree from this manufacturer if you need to replace a aprt (but I don't see why you ever would; but nice to know anyway). - thought the carpet would be super cheap, but it's not. It's not top of the line, but it's more than adequate. - once assembled it is very sturdy in terms of feeling like one solid stand/tree. - amazing shipping time (got it within 36 hours; which is incredible during the x-mas season)- cats instantly took an interest in it (only just assembled it, but I see them using it a lot) Cons:- tip-over concerns. I don't want to have this up against the wall and while it's sturdy, it's not so sturdy that I'd be worry-free of a tip over. However, I put two 20-pound weights on the base and now it's solid as a rock (no way it tips over no matter how rough the cats play). They could fix this concern by simply making the base either wider or using a different (heavier) wood for the base. So if you want 100% peace of mind plan to weigh it down with something. Or you could simply not attach the top perches and then it would probably be tip-over proof as is. Even against a wall, cats don't like any "wobble" so you still should probably weigh it down to make it feel super sturdy. - Base screws not covered. I have hardwood floors and on its own there's a chance this could scratch the floor (even though the screw heads are smooth). Simple solution is just to put a mat under it (I used a yoga mat). - Screws not covered. The screw heads are exposed on the carpet, meaning the cats have to lie on them. It's no big deal (they are basically flush with the carpet), and is required I guess so that you have easy access to regularly tighten the screws to ensure safety. Just a trait you don't see in heavily carpeted cat trees (but again, you need the screws accessible to re-tighten periodically). Conclusion: Met or exceeded my expectations. My #1 concern was that it doesn't tip over (and given this weighs 60lbs, if it were to tip it would easily break whatever it fell into... heck, i could see this putting a hole in the wall if it fell the right way). But 40lbs on the base makes it essentially impossible to ever tip this thing over. And because it's heavy just be aware that moving it around the house will be a pain (but more than a fair trade off for a solid cat tree). Not often a product exceeds my expectations, but my first-day impression is that this does.

LOVE this, cats LOVE it also!
I have 16 cats and all but the very old ones climb on this. It took a few days for them to "figure it out" but now they all take turns on the perches. I will be buying another (possibly another design, just for variety) as soon as I can afford it. It also is nice for the shyer cats who don't want my dogs slobbering on them! I noticed some people mentioned the perches might be too small for large cats. I have a couple of boys who are about 15 lbs and they do have a leg or two hanging off the small perches, but it doesn't seem to bother them at all. So unless your cat is truly huge I don't think it's an issue for most people. I was going to make my own, but could not have MADE this tree for the price. It is very sturdy compared with the ones in Petsmart and other retail outlets, and MUCH cheaper. I had no problem putting it together at all, and it came with tools, which is nice for those who don't have any. Just remember to check where the few washers go, or you may have to unscrew something and do it over (my bad!). VERY happy, will recommend to everyone I know who has a cat (or several). I think it MIGHT be able to be tipped over if you have VERY boisterous cats. I was planning on securing it to the wall, but have not done so yet, and it has not been an issue (I don't expect it to be even with the big boys bouncing around on it). But that might be something to plan on doing. Also, the bolts on the BOTTOM of the base could scratch your floors, so those with nice floors may want to put a piece of board or carpet underneath it (would not be an issue if you have carpet, only hard floors such as wood or laminate).

Stable, Fun, and Convenient
As a long time cat owner I have learned that having a cat tree of some sort is an absolute must. Before we ever had one, our furniture suffered terribly and small scratching posts were not enough to distract the cats from it. From the moment we gave the cats their own furniture, a cat tree with shelves for watching out the window and posts for scratching on every level, they totally ignored our furniture. I have berated myself for the previous years of furniture damage, pre-tree, and we will never be without one again. The main selling points of this tree for me are: • The extra shelf area afforded by the second row shelves that extend past the base. This gives a lot more play, lounging, etc. area in a multi-cat house. I even use that area now for feeding as well. • Large perches. We have large (Maine Coon) cats and need perches they can actually use. • Large sized condo. Our previous cat tree, though very nicely made, had an upright 13" diameter cylindrical condo with a shelf half way up. Our cats could never use it, they did not even fit in. This was a deal breaker for any cat tree I compared while shopping this time. Now with a large enough house both cats use it frequently. • Interesting and varied play and perch areas. • Stability. I was skeptical while building it that the height and the extending second row shelves would make it easy to tip but have been very happily surprised that this is a very sturdy design and even with large cats bouncing around on it, I have not had to worry about tip-overs. • All posts are sisal covered. This is a great selling point for me. Our previous cat tree had some sisal and some carpet covered posts. The carpet was torn up more quickly than the sisal and started looking ratty even though they seemed to prefer to scratch the sisal more. Granted, sisal eventually will shred as well but I have found it is not so onerous to re-wrap sisal posts with new rope. Questionable points: • This may be too large for some people but I would still recommend it for anyone that can manage to fit it into their homes. • The hammock may be very attractive to some cats but ours have not been interested in it. This has not been a problem as I just saved that cylinder condo from the old cat tree, took the shelf out and lay it horizontal in place of the hammock. That cylinder, in a horizontal position, no shelf taking up room, and open on both ends, is actually large enough for the cats to crawl through. They love the two doors, now on top, to squeeze, peek, and play through. • Our old cat tree was covered in carpet which not only gave some padding for more comfort but also was very durable. I put a little cushion inside the condo to make it more comfortable so mostly that is not a huge issue. I have never had faux fur covered cat furniture before so will have to learn how durable it is as a surface. So far (after only a couple of months) it is showing no signs of wear. Our previous carpet covered tree lasted about 8-9 years, though it was starting to get a bit ratty looking toward the end. In General This is a very nicely designed cat tree. It was easy to assemble and came with a little wrench for tightening it up. I had my sons help hold things together till screws were set but it was not necessary. They both just wanted to help build it so much and it turned out to be a fun if short family project. It was wider than I expected with the two shelves that stick out on each side. I had mostly gone by the base size and figured it would fit where our old cat tree sat based on that. We have a smallish living room so it takes up some room but no more than a large reclined chair in floor area. To make up for how much room it takes, it is extremely fun for the cats, giving them a lot of perching and scratch post area. We have it sitting next to a large window so they use it constantly, not only for play but also to hang out on and watch the world. They have loved it since I put it up. It was a tight fit because of my measuring error but once I managed to fit it into the space needed, I have been very pleased with the extra shelf area on the first level up, as it gives the cats more room and also allows us to feed them there. With a new kitten this has been useful in being able to feed each cat on its own shelf and avoid altercations as they learn how to get along together. Feeding on the cat tree is a new thing for us but I am thrilled with being able to have a central location for both their play and feeding. I do not water them there, however, both because our cats have always wanted to drink in the bathroom sink (we have had to keep a water bowl on the counter to accommodate this) and because I worried about water spills during play. A few crunchies scattered around, if it happens, is not nearly so messy.

These perches are very well made ( we have another set up at the back of the house and will be buying more)and great quality for the 100 price tag. The sisal covering the outside of the house and barrel perches is perfect to give your cats something very durable to sink their claws into to be able to move around safely on these. My cats do use the sleep area in the house but I haven’t been able to catch them for a picture yet. Based on previous reviews we know that the long screws were very cheap and the head of the screws didn’t lay flat or even which would cause the screws to install unevenly which would break the heads off and pull the screw through the bracket so we used deck screws. Also the screws used on the brackets for the hammock so we used the brackets and screws to install but we used more deck screws to to screw through the headboard of the hammock into the wall studs for strength and durability. It was a fairly easy installation but definitely go pick up stronger screws! My cats aren’t the biggest fans of the hammock, I don’t think they like sinking down on a soft surface so we’ll be making a harder rug covered platform for those. Final thoughts great well made perches and you can’t beat the price. Just follow the simple little tweaks we used and you won’t have to be worried about the safety of your cats ) strong screws! All

Couldn't be happier with the product
I recently purchased a cat tree for my three beloved cats, and I couldn't be happier with the product. It ticked all the boxes in terms of quality, ease of assembly, style, and functionality. 1. Quality: The cat tree is exceptionally well-made with sturdy materials that ensure durability. It can withstand the daily activities of my active feline companions without any signs of wear and tear. 2. Easy Assembly: Setting up the cat tree was a breeze. The instructions were clear and concise, and I had it up and ready in no time. The hassle-free assembly was a definite plus, especially for someone like me who isn't particularly handy. 3. Stylish Design: The cat tree's design is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. It seamlessly blends with my home decor, adding a touch of elegance to the living space. The neutral color scheme and sleek lines make it a perfect addition to any room. 4. Functionality: This cat tree truly understands feline needs. With its four layers, it provides ample space for my cats to explore, play, and relax. The top level offers a commanding view of their surroundings, which they absolutely adore. Additionally, the basket on the lower level is an ideal hideaway for them, allowing them to curl up comfortably and feel secure. I highly recommend this cat tree to any cat owner. My furry friends couldn't be happier with their new favorite spot, and I'm confident yours will love it too!
