[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our cat is definitely king and we don’t mind spoiling him in hopes he will be so grateful he actually sits by us. I love furniture that I don’t have to be a contractor to put together and only needing 1 Phillips head screwdriver for assembly means I didn’t need help. Definitely don’t try to use a power screwdriver you will ruin this. Instructions were fairly easy to follow and I figured out a step that didn’t show the little screw locks being turned, not sure if that is what they are called but you push them in the predrilled holes and turning them tightened them. My cat likes to hide inside and one of our dogs has fit in with him. I got several compliments and even got asked where they could buy their own by friends. Lining the bottom inside the cabinet with help this last even longer, use either a dry mat or grab a roll of cabinet drawer liner, I did. A litter box smaller than 20”x 20” should fit. My cat is pretty big and he has plenty of room to move around.Easy one screwdriver assembly and reversible ends make this a left or right side kitty access so it works on either end of my sofa as an end table also. I loved the look, easy assembly and roomy interior the most, my cat loved having a new hiding spot.

I had my doubts about this product due to my cat’s mischievous habits. A month later I’m happy to report that this privacy screen is working out beautifully! No assembly required - just take it out of the box & put it where desired. The 2-way hinges make set up versatile & it’s quite sturdy. I have 1 narrow end between the wall & litter box for extra stability, since my cat likes to aggressively paw on the screen (instead of the wall). So far the screen has stayed in place. Now the cat has privacy & the litter box is finally concealed in a subtle manner. I purchased this in white & it blends perfectly with my white walls.

While the litter was still new my younger cats enjoyed playing with each other through the holes in the cardboard. I did eventually put tape over the hole in the back because when they would dig in the litter, sometimes it would escape through the hole. Sometimes small amounts of litter would come out on their feet but it was never too much. While my younger cats did use the box for urine, in the week I had the box no one used it for bowel movements. The litter absorbed the urine well and there was no noticeable smell. After a week It was also not easy to clean. Even after opening the flap, I had to try not to spill litter when I stirred it around. I collapsed the box and covered it with the original lid and threw it out. The small portable scoops that came with the box were nice to have. I could see using this box if I traveled with my animals and needed a box when I arrived instead of trying to travel with a box, litter, bags, etc. but for in home use, for multiple cats, I don’t think it would be very economical. All in all it’s great for short term use and travel but it’s not something I’d use long term in my home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi there, Our cat, named Kara, is about 16 years old. She took to the litter box right away. Initially the motor sound scared her and then intrigued her. No issue after day two. The setup and litter assembly was no problem and straight forward. The crystals start out different shades of blue. As the cat urine is soaked up; the crystals turn a greenish yellow color and the color change is one indicator of littler age. The other is the litter’s ability to absorb the urine’s ammonia smell which the littler does quite well until the color change. The littler life span was 17 days. We mixed or stirred up the crystals at day 8 or 9 so that they would be used more uniformly. Kara seemed to want to go in a peculiar corner and stirring or raking the crystals one time appeared to extend the product life. I took pictures at the beginning and end of the process. You can easily see the color change from blue to greenish yellow. There were no issues with the solids being raked under the end cover. At the end, we raised the mechanism removed box and switched the cover from under the box to over the box for disposal. No mess other than sweeping up a few crystals that had been tracked out by Kara’s paws. Unquestionably this product has improved convenience over all other kitty litters.

It's very nice looking and does its job. I wish there were an option where there wasn't a flap inside so there wasn't a bar on the floor. Our litter box is large and makes cleaning it a bit of a pain, but this is minor. If my litter box wasn't so large and oddly shaped, it wouldn't be an issue at all. I saw the photos so I knew what I was getting. Just a suggestion more than a complaint, really. The flap can be taken out, of course. I like how the bottom is separate and can be taken outside and shook. It's made of material that can be hosed off. I can't go on enough how deep the bottom part is. It traps a lot of litter so it doesn't go tracking all over, but I do recommend that if you have a large litter box that you get another rug put outside of it, just for a bit of extra protection since nothing in the world is perfect. The cover is canvas and can be wiped down. Finally I have found an economical way of hiding my huge giant litter box I have for my 3 cats. I love that there isn't any more litter tracked anywhere anymore. Everything is made to be kept sanitary without a lot of work, which I like.

I love it. So much easier then carrying around a plastic bag and trying to get it in the bag and not the floor. There is no smell I have 4 car and I have the boxes around the house. Instead of running the plastic bag outside after I was done cleaning boxes, I just dumped it today after 3 days. So glad I got this.

I had 3 covered litter boxes that I clean twice a day. The urine is always stuck at the back of the boxes and is as hard as cement. I ordered these boxes because I read that it was one the of 10 best litter boxes and that nothing sticks to it. It does stick at the back, however, it is much easier to remove. Even though the sides and back are high a lot of litter goes on the floor. Overall I am pleased because it is easier to clean for me but I was disappointed that it still sticks. For that price, it should live up to the claim that it does not stick at all. Add on: after a few months it is no longer non-stick. I clean the box daily but there is always an accumulation of urine and excrements caked at both ends of the box and it is very hard to break up even with my heavy duty shovel. I would not buy it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently put out the Petmate Jumbo Hooded Litter Pan out for our cats to use. We were a little nervous because our cats are pretty finicky about trying anything new. However, they began to take to this new litter pan! The hood and door are great for our cats. Particularly our boy cat as he is pretty vigilant about making sure everything is clean which usually means he is throwing litter around everywhere. The litter and the door keep the excess litter in really well. The lid also has a charcoal filter which helps with any smells that emit from the litter box. The box is also large enough to hold our long Nebelung cats. My only complaint is that the box is an odd shape. The box itself is slightly conical shaped which limits the surface that the cats are able to use and makes it fit oddly anywhere that we try to put it in the house. With that being said, it is still a good litter box and I would recommend this to others.

My cats are on their second booda dome in 15 years (they're 15 1/2 yrs old) and I've had this one so long, I can't remember when I bought it! Maybe 7 years ago? I was checking to see how much they cost these days and was shocked by the reviews, which is why I am writing mine. Did the design changed since I bought the last one? I've never in 15 years had urine leak out of the sides. The top only gets knocked sideways when I don't put it on correctly. I love not having cat litter everywhere and that visitors don't have to look at a gross open litter box (since it is in the bathroom). I was thrilled when I discovered this product just after I adopted my girls. I've never used filters. I can't imagine depending on a little filter to take care of litter box odor, although it might be effective. I spend extra to get really good cat litter. Cheap cat litter does nothing for cat box odor. I have two cats so the extra area is great so I don't have to clean it more than once a day. (I bought one for my mom. She only has one cat. She said that the box doesn't need to be this big and takes up too much space.) My cats are on the smaller size (9-10 lbs). No problem with them getting in/out or fitting in the box. It's not like they need headspace in the box to do their business. I imagine if you have a large cat, this might not be adequate for him/her to turn around in without bumping the top. I can't remember what happened to the first one but there are no cracks or chips in this one and I've moved several times since I bought it. The bottom is scratched up from years of litter being scratched around and I was just thinking that the litter might not stick as much with a new one.

First of all I've been in the Pet industry for 14 yrs & have always had my own Multi Cat household. These Petmate High Back litter pans are some of Thee best I've found. They have Microban , their sides release the litter Very easily ...if one isn't using Cement like litter. They rinse out with bleach H2O Very easily , leaving them completely Fresh & disinfected. They used to come in a smaller size (size Large) that worked Very well next to a toilet in a bathroom .. Very Handy for small spaces. The turquoise colour was alot more pleasing than many others offered in the industry. I presently have 5 of the Jumbo sized & 3 of the Large sized ( the smaller compact one) ALL in the turquoise colour. I am looking to get More onhand ... I have Reccommended them to numerous Pet clients , that have shouted their praises. Those HIGH sides are an Extreme help, along with sides that release the litter Very easily. Also with any Multi cat households it helps to NOT have a Hood ... That creates serious Behavioral Issues due to the other cats Not wanting everyone else's "Stinko" around them / top & bottom. I'm hoping Petmate will continue producing Both sizes ( which I'm not readily finding) MANY Cat Guardians would appreciate these Litter boxes. PLEEZ .....get the small size ( Large) back in stock .

This cat box is great. It is big enough for my large cat- and it keeps his urine inside the box- I would give it 10 stars but the only drawback for me is it is heavy with the litter inside- it is a weird shape and it does not fit the cat liners bags inside- so I have to empty it and then clean it each time instead of just using liner bags to lift out the dirty stuff. Otherwise it is perfect - it will last forever

I bought this for my rabbit. She is sick and old, and was having a hard time hopping into her other litter box. This one has lower sides, but still high enough to contain everything. I only gave it 4 stars because the picture shows the low entry on the side, which is what I needed - but it’s not on the side on the smaller litter pan. On the small one, the entry is on the end of the pan, which doesn’t work for my rabbit’s hutch.

Delivery time was great and packaged extremely well. It was very easy to put together (I did it by myself) and didn’t take too much time. Solid Wood, no damage at all to it. I choose not to use the divider since I have two large cats. This was too large for the room I wanted it for but worked great for the laundry room. The only thing I don’t like about it is the walls set on the outside of the bottom platform. This means that cat litter falls through the cracks of the walls. To fix that problem I just chalked along the walls. Good enclosure for people that have large cats though.

I purchased two of these, because I was fed up looking at litter boxes in my house ( we have two cats). My cats took to them immediately, with no problems. Both cats are average in size, and these are plenty big enough for them. There is a bit of a learning curve to getting the top on. Simply line up the two front cornersedges, and then line up the back. It will take several attempts, but once you get the hang of it, its easy. The greenery is obviously fake, but it still looks better than a regular box ! My one cat insists on peeing in the hallway near the front door. However, I obviously didnt want a litter box there, but needed something. This fit the bill. If someone comes over I just turn it slightly, and theyre none the wiser. Overall, they just look so much nicer than the average litter box, I would absolutely purchase these again ! Karen Dundas,Ontario

I absolutely love this new litter box. My cat, Courage, is 7 and has had the same litter box her entire life - it was a plastic enclosed box that was fairly large. She always made such a huge mess on her exit, which ended up with us not actually using whichever bathroom it was placed in - that was always her bathroom. We just bought a house and there was really no suitable place for an exposed litter box, so we bought this one to be out in the open in our foyer. It's perfect! Since it came with a small litter mat for inside, and she has to go through two openings to exit, there's virtually no mess outside of the box (maybe a sprinkling or two, but nothing crazy!). I haven't been able to smell anything outside of the box, which is nice. It has been a little awkward changing the litter, because the tray I've placed inside is exactly the right size fit, so it's tougher to pull in and out - but that is something personal to my experience. The unit was fairly easy to put together and came nicely packed. I noticed many other reviews mentioned scratches or cosmetic damage and a heavy chemical smell, but I experienced neither. I will say the box it arrive in didn't say it was an "Archie & Oscar" which worried me since that's what this claims to be, but the box is exactly as pictured, and the gray goes perfectly with our color scheme. I love this litter box.

I love this litter box, its functional and it looks cute and most importantly my cats love it too! I have an older senior cat who has joint problems and had trouble jumping into our old high-sided litter box but the steps on this one it makes it much easier for her to climb in and out of it so she no longer has trouble using the litter box, the little steps are really great for catching the loose litter that sticks to her paws too, at first I was worried about them being able to fit in the litter box because both my cats are on the larger side (~15lbs) but they both fit in it easily! I'm seriously considering buying a second one because I like it so much.

This is awesome! Litter boxes have always been a drag for me and the my kitties over the years. The litter tracked on the floor from Gypsy’s room would make it so dreaded to enter getting litter on me, tracked even into the bathroom. Yuk! And covered litter boxes have never solved the problem of the litter, and I felt like a bad kitty mama for the awful ammonia smell and the strength to change it. They’re heavy! This is the best thing that’s been introduced for my litter dread! No tracking whatsoever, ventilated pockets so it truly does not smell while allowing Gypsy to breathe! She knew right what to do, it holds a large box and a folded over heavy duty litter trapping mat to help keep the litter from staying on her paws. But, the greatest thing is that while I read reviews and studied all of these, I can swear that this is the one to buy! It has a fold down door to clean and litter does not escape the fold at the door at all, not at all! And, I don’t get how some images showed this well designed, sturdy and cleverly built to last enclosure in pieces because it can be shoved over if it’s in my way or I can set things on top without having the least fear of it falling apart. Easy assembly, and it’s furniture! Not a big taped together cheaply made big box. It’s very reliable. Gypsy loves it so much more than her prior circumstances. So buy this one!

I have twin toddlers (boys). We love animals but I was reluctant to add one to our family because I did not want to have to clean up behind anyone else. Then I saw Loki. We adopted a black kitten with a tiny white tuft of fur on his chest. He and his siblings had been rescued on the side of the road at only a couple of weeks old and bottle fed. He was the last left for adoption and I fell in love with him. We got him at 8 weeks old and luckily he was already litter box trained. The only thing I dislike about cats is the whole litter box situation. I went on the search for an enclosure that was "stylish". It seemed like a weird thing to search for at first. I am so glad that I did though! We absolutely love the Ava Litter Box Enclosure. I bought it in black. (I will post a photo later.) It fits perfectly in a nook in my house and looks just like a nice bench/storage piece. I didn't have a "good spot" in my house for a litter box (Is there really ever a good spot?). I wanted something that wouldn't look like a litter box and would also help to mask any odor that may occur between changes. This enclosure did the trick! It's actually a lovely piece and well worth the money. As an added bonus, my boys can sit on the bench and put their shoes on in the mornings. I looked at many different pieces before purchasing this one and I'm so happy with my choice! I definitely recommend it. :)

I really love this enclosure for a lot of reasons, but there are flaws. The good: it’s plastic and wipes clean. It’s one of the nicer looking enclosures and it's a good size. It has ventilation! I like that I can easily look inside to see if I need to scoop it out. It’s nice and tall which is nice for my big kitty. So many of them I feel like they have to squat to fit inside. The bad: I just had to throw mine out. I was using the wayfair suggested litter box with the attachable spray shield. Urine was leaking out of the seam. When I noticed this I ordered a new box and wiped it clean and thought all was well. The smell got worse and worse so I did some investigating. I tipped it on its side and tons of urine poured out. It had seeped into some of the hollow crevices of the box. I made the mistake of not putting anything under the box. Thankfully it was in my bathroom on tile floor! I took the whole thing apart and tried to clean it but the smell never came out. There was just too much by the time I discovered it. Yuck! With that said, I’m throwing it out and I’ve already purchased a new one. I really like this enclosure and I’ll just do some things differently to protect it. I ordered a solid high sided box, and I may caulk the seems on the floor of the box to prevent any leaks from getting inside, or contact paper and a litter mat inside. Hard lesson to learn! Just don’t do what I did and you’ll love this enclosure.
