This is a nice dog bed. It's well constructed and I love that you can simply unzip the top surface separately from the rest of the cover for washing. The whole cover can be washed if necessary, as well. It has a water resistant layer in between the covers which I find good and bad. Good, because it protects the foam padding underneath and gives it extra support. Bad, because it is has a plastic feel and sound when our dog steps on it and she is not used to it, so she hasn't felt comfortable laying on it yet. I'm hoping she'll adjust quickly. We'll see.. The bed came in shrink wrapped and you need to let it settle a bit before it really takes its shape. My dog, Adelaide, loved it right away. Could not keep her from checking it out. Although, I would suggest having another orthopedic foam bed underneath because the foam it came with is incredibly thin. I’m using it in her crate that already has another orthopedic foam bed and it helps to add a bit more cushion to that one. Love that the cover is completely washable. Everything zips off!
