The cat tree was to simple to put together because the instructions were well written. I only took an hour and the tools were included. No missing parts and went together well. I thought it was nearly perfect in the design but I think one of the attributes is not ideal. The hammock in the middle is kinda low to the platform below it, making it kinda difficult for the cat the get from the platform to the left of the hammock to the next one, slightly higher on the right. I wish the hammock was a board or higher up. Other than that, it’s really good. My friend and me built it in under an hour. I got it because it’s just about 18” below the tops of my kitchen cabinets. So she can climb the tower then traverse the cabinet tops. I have been thinking about removing the hammock and replacing it with a board. We shall see. This has been a great addition to our cats’ furniture collection! The smalleryounger cat loves to sleep on the flower on top, which is made of something like memory foam, but a bit denser. I imagine it is somewhat self-heating and also helps to hold onto the heat from the window. My largest cat loves the middle level basket. She will curl up in it for hours and has since I took it out of the box. Her sister is terrified of the entire thing and avoids even being near it. I have no idea why. I picked it because it had 3 levels, and they are always together, but it has not appealed to her yet. Pros nice height, stable base, real woodstrong construction, removable basket liner pillows Cons Can be a bit wobbly with multiple large cats - though they have tried 2 in a single basket with no problems. My cat is a large, 16-pound boy with a pretty big frame, so I was initially concerned that the enclosed condos might be too small for him. But he was able to get into both of them comfortably and clearly enjoys having the cozy hideaways. The openings looked small at first glance, but they work fine even for a bigger cat. The structure feels sturdy and stable once assembled, and the sisal-covered posts and ramp give plenty of scratching surfaces. The gray covering is more like a soft blanket than carpet and looks nice in the room. My box didn’t come with printed assembly instructions. I was able to pull up the product photo online and use that as a guide, and the pieces were straightforward enough that it wasn’t difficult to figure out.
