I bought this gorgeous cage for our budgie. It’s perfect for a small bird. I don’t recommend for the larger and stronger birds because the wires are thin and could be possibly bent. I also would not recommend it for finches due to the bar spacing and the possibility of their tiny heads getting stuck. As another reviewer stated, it’s not a shiny silver, but great. It does appear silver in the light. I love the transparent base that allows me to see my bird even when he’s in the bottom. This cage would be large enough for a pair of parakeets. I purchased the black stand elsewhere because Wayfair only had it in white. It’s easy to assemble with no tools needed. The only improvement I can see is for the manufacturer to as another door on a lower level. The one door is up high. It’s a great cage for the money and looks absolutely gorgeous in our new home.. My cockatiel's name is Angel and she has been with us for around 23 years or so. I recently had purchased a large cage for her but it was way too big and she stayed in one corner on a perch all the time. This cage seems more comforting for one bird, or two. It was easy to finish putting together all but the side clips but I figured it out. AND very nice was the bonus toys, skirt feed catcher, which fit like a charm. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Cage is absolutely beautiful. The only reason I took away one star is due to the instructions being more difficult than they should have been at the end, misaligned front piece that I can't seem to correct, and for some bent pieces (which were very easy to be back into place.) Note to others: when getting to the top portion, put the cage pieces in, then add the crossbars and tighten. You will save yourself a lot of frustration and finger pinching by doing it that way. It is still difficult that way though. Also, I recommend you go slow and make sure the cage stays in the channels before securing the crossbars. I purchased this as a travel cage for my Yellow Nape Amazon. I took a chance on the size since I couldn't find any reviews mentioning a larger parrot. The instructions just show a photo of the pieces and how they go together. It wasn't too difficult but needed to be tightened up at the joins. Anyone having a parrot knows how quickly they can learn to open the doors and food spaces. This cage has "pins" holding in the food dishes. Word to the wise, remember to purchase locks to secure the doors! For the price, this is a well constructed cage designed more for conures, cockateils and parakeets. It will for work for my Yellow Nape but only for travel. The only negative I can think of is the wooden dowel perches are not long enough and can easily fall off.
