Great investment in protecting my flock of ducks from nocturnal predators. I installed the XL Animal Barrier around my walk-in duck cage about 1 year ago. So far theres been no successful nocturnal predator intrusions. Very heavy duty and I was able to push the long tines through my hardware cloth ground barrier (apron). Definitely a good investment.. Attention! This product is not only suitable for chickens, but also for dogs, ducks, rabbits, and other small animals like lambs. Whether you live in the country or slumber in the city, it might be possible to have one or two (or six) chicken coops of your own. It's important to check zoning laws before buying chickens, but it's surprisingly possible to raise hens (though usually not early-crowing roosters) in a small yard.

We used this as kennel for our small dogs when we put them outside on nice days. The cover blocks out the sun so they don't get too hot. The built in food and water dishes are perfect since they are attached, they cannot til them over when something excites them. The size is perfect for them and gives us peace of mind knowing they can't escape.. Jennifer. Durand, WI. Thu Oct 08 2026

We are hobby breeders and this floor was just what we were looking for to keep our puppies off the ground and safe when they are outside to play. We don’t have them fully installed in the second picture and in the first we have them fully installed but have a a ramp for the puppies to get in and out of their play building easily, and turf for them to potty on, over the top of the floors. But it’s great quality, strong, and it prevents animals from digging out of a kennel or digging period. It was a little tricky for some of the pieces to snap together since the ground we put it on wasn’t completely level. If using over concrete or a 100 level surface I imagine it would be a breeze. The floor is easy to clean and disinfect. It does tend to get scalding hot if in direct sun and temps over 80-85 degrees. But if shaded or cooler temps it’s perfect. Nothing that an awning or sun shade can’t fix. I’ve been looking into raised floors for a while but couldn’t justify the cost, but am happy I finally chose to do it. I would give these a 4.5 star rating. If it were easier to put together on slightly unlevel surfaces, and not so hot in direct sun, it would have earned a perfect 5 star rating!. Janell.
