My 173 lb. Great Pyrenees is so very picky about his beds! I thought he would love a big, orthopedic, foam mattress, but he refused to lie in it! He would lay on the floor right next to it! I bought one with a bolster, then one without a bolster. After observing him more closely I noticed that he had trouble navigating the thick foam so I purchased this thinner bed with only a thin layer of memory foam and it was a winner! Now not only does he use this bed constantly, our elderly 89 lb. mutt with arthritis ( I gave her the big, thick, bolstered foam bed) is always napping in it and so does our 120 lb. Great Dane/Pit mix! I don't know why this thinner bed is liked so much by all my dogs, but I'm certainly glad I took a chance on a less pricy bed for my Baby Boy (and his girls)!. Denise. We like this bed. Vacuums easily, machine washable, and was exactly the measurements listed. It is a very big bed without much filling, though. I would have given it 5 stars if it had more filling.
