I've had this for several months and have unfortunately had to test out cleaning up the 'leaf' and the white cushions a few times due to some hairballs..but it was super easy to spot wash and air dry! The tower's construction is very sturdy. It took a few days for our cat to overcome her fear of this big, tall "thing." The top platform is not really needed.
