Improve your feline's happiness levels with this PETMAKER Sisal & Burlap Cat Scratching Post. With a weighted wood base to prevent tipping, this kitty scratching column sits at the optimal height for cats and kittens to stretch their necks and backs while keeping their claws well-groomed.

Read some of the comments about the base being unstable. I mitigated this by applying some duct tape to help keep the pieces together (they are already held together as they are not completely cut in half -- the duct tape just helps secure it). No complaints thus far! It's a great height for my cat -- they can stretch out fully and reach the top. They don't hang out on the top though. A bit small for a grown cat.. Ib. Brooklyn, NY. Our cats absolutely love these scratch octahedrons. I previously bought from a local pet store, but they were nowhere to be found, after our cats had destroyed the one we had.So I was very happy having found them again, at Wayfair.I cleverly bought two this time, as they usually fight over access. Which brings me to the first issue, as they fight over who gets to stay, means that the octahedron sides falls apart. I tried glue (but that’s messy and leaves residues), so I tried binder clips (removing the handles after). Both methods seem to work fine. Furthermore, the scratch pads were poorly cut, making it impossible to properly fit the sides together. Had to use a bread knife to trim the scratch pad edges back. In conclusion, had the scratch pads been properly cut, and the sides wouldn’t fall apart, i would’ve given five stars.. Hulten. Portland, OR. Sun May 19 2019

The scratching pole is wrapped in sisal for your cat to wear down their nails and stop them from abusing your furniture.

Cats instinctively scratch for many reasons - to mark their territory, to relax, or just to stretch. If your cat doesn't have a designated scratching pad, your furniture may be the first thing to get shredded. The catty scratch is constructed of 100% recycled paper pulp and features a honeycomb texture that mimics the feel of tree bark. Each scratching pad comes with a pack of dried catnip to encourage scratching. When one side of the catty scratch is worn down, just flip it over for a brand-new scratching pad.
