I bought this gorgeous cage for our budgie. It’s perfect for a small bird. I don’t recommend for the larger and stronger birds because the wires are thin and could be possibly bent. I also would not recommend it for finches due to the bar spacing and the possibility of their tiny heads getting stuck. As another reviewer stated, it’s not a shiny silver, but great. It does appear silver in the light. I love the transparent base that allows me to see my bird even when he’s in the bottom. This cage would be large enough for a pair of parakeets. I purchased the black stand elsewhere because Wayfair only had it in white. It’s easy to assemble with no tools needed. The only improvement I can see is for the manufacturer to as another door on a lower level. The one door is up high. It’s a great cage for the money and looks absolutely gorgeous in our new home.. This is a very large cage. It was time consuming putting together but well worth it in the end. The directions were clear and easy to follow. Our Eclectus parrot likes the space: even the bump out for the Victorian flourish top. He quickly explored the inside and outside of the cage, treats and water from the new bowls and perch, and enjoyed sittling like a king on the perch stretched in the Victorian top opening. Such a cute cage! Perfect for what we needed. Fits nicely into a corner of any room. Fairly easy to assemble. Main lock broke within only a couple of days of use so that was disappointing. Fantastic price and delivery of a quality bird cage (the 36x28 dome top is perfect for my active African grey parrot. A steal at $600 with Wayfair's massive sale! I am upgrading the caster wheels (Service Caster 5" wheels for $49) to give it more height and easier under-cage cleaning. Love the white color! My grey is very happy and I can put in more toys and a giant rope boing for her to hang out on. Once I get the new wheels (the stock ones are fine, it's just my preference) I'll add the seed guard..
