The cat scratch tower is strong and sturdy. I have a big kitty and she needs a taller tower this is great for her so she can fully stretch. It’s strong and balanced

Updated for second item: still decent but not AS nice. :/ First item: Looks great, VERY solid!! At first I thought there was an issue, because the instruction sheet says to use a specific screw to attach the top plate to the post, and that screw isn't long enough. I was about to toss in the towel when I spotted the EXTRA screw, and the little yellow slip of paper saying to use the extra screw in that spot instead, as a replacement. It is just a little longer, and worked perfectly. Our kitties are still getting used to the new post, but they love the larger sisal rope items, and I have no doubt this will be well-loved by our herd of 9. Only thing I wish was different is that they added the little yellow slip/update either ONTO the instruction sheet, or into the baggie of screws. With it loose in the box, I very nearly overlooked it and would have returned the item unnecessarily. **Updated 4/29/25: We ordered a second post, and received it today. The first post was $51.99 and lasted us just shy of 7 months, including rotating the top and bottom portions a couple months ago (and piercing the top plate a bit because the screw was too long for the spot... In order to keep the portions swapped without the screw pushing through the top, the cap had to remain loose.) This second one was $59.99, and is a lesser quality than the first. There is a photo of the first scratching post that I'm leaving on the review. I'm also adding new photos to show the screw inserted into the cap piece of the new scratching post in the hole that is not aligned properly, a bulge in the top of the cap, the base of the new one with splotches in the finish/color, scratches to the base before the finish was put on, and then a couple photos of the 2 posts side by side, to show how well-loved the first one is, and a DEFINITE difference in the rope diameter of the new one. Our (now 10) kitties have worn the heck out of the first one, which is why we chose to splurge on another pricey scratching post. I'm sure they will use this one too, however, the finished quality of this one leaves much to be desired. Still pretty solid, just not as nice, which bums me out. It's less likely that we'll reorder again in another 7 months.

Mischa loves her scratching post. It’s pretty tall. Smooth bottom, so it won’t scratch the floor. I would recommend this item.

Solid wider base than others. The square is twice the size of my round one. Good for my boy, he loves to straddle.

My cat loves it! Tall and study scratch post that doesnt tip over when my 14 lb cat uses it. He can get a good stretch, and scratch and pull at it, even from the top and it doesnt budge at all. A must for larger cats!

My cats like and use it, and it blends in nicely with my wood paneled walls. However the strings get pulled out of place, showing the particle board behind them, which is not so great looking.

My cat loves it and uses it instead of my scratching couch. Looks good and is sturdy.
