Love this! Debated about the purchase for a while, but finally went for it, and my cats are in love. Its sturdy and assembly instructions are straight forward. Plenty of room for both of my large cats (about 12-14 lbs each). I added some finer screening around it to keep bugs out (just stapled it to the frame) and created a wood frame that fits inside my window so it can be secured without attaching it to the exterior of my house. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. I was hesitant about ordering a product with AI photos (seriously Wayfair??) but it was hard to find dimensions that would work with our windows as most catios or cat boxes are made for standard size windows and ours are tall but skinny. My fiance spent the weekend installing it and install was tricky because our placement wasn’t on a flat surface and he had to drill holes in concrete. The install was the only tricky part (and that’s because of our windows so he added additional wood supports). However, assembly was very quick and our cat took to it almost immediately. Cool catio that we can’t wait to see our cat enjoy. Great roof material for all weather use, real wood too. She’s warming up to the catio but sure I’ll be a hit for watching birds in the yard.
