I bought this exclusively for my car. My two dogs are seniors now, and as Corgis, jumping down can be very hard on their joints. I would say if you are buying it for your car, see how far the door you will be using it for swings open and make sure it is wide enough for the edge of the ramp to rest on the door frame.. Deb. We are very happy with this cat tree, even though one cat adores it and the other ignores it. The one that loves it spends her time on three levels depending on her mood. She is a cat that loves soft things, and the material is very soft and plush. We keep cat toys on the bottom shelf, which keeps the house neater. I like that we can rotate the little hammock to make it fit our space. I also wanted a cat tree that had staggered levels -- some are so straight up and down that I worried our cats would have trouble reaching the top levels. This one is perfect in that regard.
