Bittrich Kids Twin Loft Bed

This was a job to assemble just because of so many parts, but my granddaughter LOVES this bed! It was worth the work!

Flimsy and the first step broke within 1 month of having the bed. Also very difficult assembly. After one month of use, one of the steps on the ladder broke (from just the weight of my 30lb 4 yo) and the manufacturer does not have a working phone number or website where they can be reached for a replacement part. Wayfair is no help so far and cannot send me a replacement part because I’m out of the “window of time”. So I guess, onto the trash?

This looks great and my daughter is going to love it. For the price you can’t beat it. The only negative was it comes with a rope light that didn’t work. But those are easy to replace and you can get the same size one with a remote for 8.

This bed had several imperfections in many of the pieces and I had to request replacements, but once I got those and added a few extra slats to the top bunk it looked great! The light for the bed also went out after a couple of months, but I bought another one that works. My son has been enjoying it and it seems pretty sturdy.

As you can see, it has a lot of pieces, so that’s not amazing for assembling but if you have space for assembly, it’s ok. I guess a bigger (possibly hex) screw for attaching the hook onto the slide. My 5 year old (pictured) already broke off the screw within a day of assembling it. We put a queen size mattress underneath it, perpendicular to the twin mattress on the loft of this bed, which is nice. It comes with the “twinkle” lights also, which is nice!

We were so excited to get this bed in and I’m not sure if this was just this one bed but the entire frame was completely unstable. It rocked and wasn’t safe for my daughter that is under 85 lbs to be in. We tried multiple things to stabilize the bed and nothing worked. We took it apart and put it back together again (which was terrible) and finally completely took it apart in the end. We returned the bed due to safety issues.

This took about 6 hours to assemble because of all the pieces it takes. Also, a major flaw to the structure is that it is extremely flimsy and shakes very easily when the kid shakes the frame on the bed. The wood feels like it can crack very easily at certain parts of the adjoining areas such as near the slide.

Formaldehyde smell is extremely pungent and it hasn’t gone was even after a week. I’m very concerned if I have to return this for the kids health. They still haven’t slept there and I’ve had windows open the whole time plus running air purifier non stop.

Nice bed but very difficult to assemble. The shelf’s behind the slide were not cut to the correct size and the instructions on how to assemble the shelves was very vague and difficult to understand based on the instructions. It took about 7 hrs to assemble.
