Pasadena Daybed

While this daybed is certainly looks close to the product marketing photos, it does give you a bit of a letdown when the piece is finally assembled. The bolt heads are visible just about everywhere, and a twin mattress has about 2 inches of wiggle room on either side. But the worst surprise was the poor design of the drawers, which are too wide for the single runner they sit on. If you are expecting the drawers to simply go in and out, you'll need to realize that once you push the drawers back in, you then need to manually adjust the drawers so that they are flush with one another. This makes the drawers more decorative than functional.

It looks cute, but the supportslats are VERY CHEAP. It feels very weak. I feel like it would break if an adult man were to lay on it. The drawers seem to be uneven once you close it . Not satisfied at all.

First shipment was a disaster. Horrible paint, probably from sitting in an overheated warehouse somewhere. Had to repack and return, not easy for such a large heavy item. Return and replacement went smoothly. Paint job the 2nd time was much improved but far from perfect. Since it won’t be used that much, decided to keep it. Putting it together is ridiculously hard and the instructions are terrible. One piece had 2” pre-drilled holes for 4” bolts. Had to drill the deeper holes myself. Part stickers that when removed damage the finish in some cases. Just poor thinking and quality control from start to finish.

Bed came damaged. The bed is not too quality but it looks nice for the price.

I simply love it. Very classy and design is perfect.

It’s a cute bed. Almost all of the pieces we received had some sort of cosmetic damage straight out of the package. The drawers are great, a bit wobbly but functional nevertheless. I’d say if you don’t care about some cosmetic damage - go for this bed.

For the most part we like the bed, it seemed to align pretty good, and the instructions were pretty easy to follow. However, we were short a 6 screw and will have to find one comparable at the hardware store as it is the screw that holds the center brace on the bed. I mean, we’d have thought maybe there would be an extra one in case something didn’t go right but didn’t think we’d be short one. That was disappointing. Once we find another screw to match, the bed should be fine…just disappointed that it wasn’t all there and ready to use the day we got it.

So the beds OK. But they did not send any caps to cover up all the bolts and the bolts look kind of tacky. I would say this is a fairly cheap bed.

Instructions are a little vague.
