I’m 72 and put this together myself. The instructions didn’t always match the picture guide, but I did get it together. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is from the very first screws I inserted there was some of the cabinet that flaked up. But once the screw was in place it wasn’t noticeable. It seems very sturdy. I have cement floors and had to add sliding pads to make it level. The back metal poles have a place to screw something in but nothing was included? I spent quite some time looking to purchase an aquarium stand or cabinet for a very special custom built aquarium that I inherited from a friend. Many styles and quite the range of prices- into the thousands ! Nothing quite hit the marks either in style or design or weight capacity until I found this one. It’s heavy and will take you some time to assemble.They recommend 2 people- which I don’t have - however, I managed to move the heavy box- I estimate 100 pounds- inside by myself. The directions were long - over 10 pages- but were actually very organized and understandable- shocking!! Working alone and meticulously I was able to complete the assembly - assembly took me roughly 6 hours - building at a leisurely pace- making sure to follow the steps exactly. The stand is a beast - it’s over built with metal supports and legs- overkill amount of bolts holding it together and solid panels framing it all. Rating it at a 1500lb capacity is probably accurate. I’d say it’s pretty good, not necessarily great. Seems like it “could” hold 660 lbs since it’s a very sturdy seeming MDF but it’s still JUST MDF and ONE steel support bar. Some of the cam locks were really hard to get in all the way and are now locked but not in a smooth way that gives me the peace of mind I hoped for ordering a stand specified to hold aquarium. I build quite a bit of order online furniture and this one wasn’t the smoothest. Luckily I’m just holding a 15 gallon tall aquarium on it currently and it’s more than ample strength for that. I purchased an oversized stand for my 40 gallon tank and decided on getting one for the 55-75 gallon tank size. Mainly for stability but also just like the way it looks. I have the barn style TV stand and end table. So it matches the rest of my furniture. Awesome little tank. My Betta loves it. Only negative is that the filter doesn't have a low-med-high setting, and it pushes a lot of water for a Betta, so I put the rain trickle arm on and submerged it under the water line so as not to make the water too oxygenated for the Betta and aimed it at the side of the tank so the glass deflects it.
