The color was a bit darker gold than the pictures online. Bulbs were shipped with the units however they were Edison bulbs which these fixtures do not take. I would suggest an upward mount as the exterior glass shade fell off and shattered (no replacement shade available). I ordered an entire replacement and it happened again
