The rug is soft and plush. It looks exactly as pictured.

These runners (I bought two) are exactly what I wanted - very thin so it's unlikely to trip on - and a help to my old dog who was having a hard time on my wooden floors.

The rubber backing is a nice feature, but the colors look very muted. The emerald green you see in the photos is actually tan and the red/burgundy looks almost faded. So although it is a ton of rug for the money, it doesn’t work for me.
