This is a very large cage. It was time consuming putting together but well worth it in the end. The directions were clear and easy to follow. I did put it together by myself and it took about 2 hours. Comes with a long skinny perch and 2 small food bowls. They are not big enough for my bird but nice to have included. I bought this gorgeous cage for our budgie. It’s perfect for a small bird. I don’t recommend for the larger and stronger birds because the wires are thin and could be possibly bent. I also would not recommend it for finches due to the bar spacing and the possibility of their tiny heads getting stuck. As another reviewer stated, it’s not a shiny silver, but great. It does appear silver in the light. I love the transparent base that allows me to see my bird even when he’s in the bottom. This cage would be large enough for a pair of parakeets. I purchased the black stand elsewhere because Wayfair only had it in white. It’s easy to assemble with no tools needed. The only improvement I can see is for the manufacturer to as another door on a lower level. The one door is up high. It’s a great cage for the money and looks absolutely gorgeous in our new home.. I love this bird cage! I was able to assemble on my own until lifting the cage to assemble to the base. The instructions were wrong in stating that the short screws serial were required to attach. Use the long screws. The other flaw was that on the Allen wrench the short end should have the screw driver as it was near impossible to use what was provided. From past experience I saved the box it was packed in right til completion and top finnial was missing!! Very disappointed but will find something else to put on top. Our Eclectus parrot likes the space: even the bump out for the Victorian flourish top. He quickly explored the inside and outside of the cage, treats and water from the new bowls and perch, and enjoyed sittling like a king on the perch stretched in the Victorian top opening. Excellent cage for sugar gliders because it’s safe (after securing the sliding doors) and spacious…but will likely need to be replaced every 12-18 months due to extensive rusting. Took a star off for that. Most cages will eventually rust with sugar gliders in them, but this one rusts quickly. Doors are large enough to fit the Free Runner and Raptor wheels in, but a bit too small to comfortably clean the cage interior. This thing is a beast. The company that makes it usually sells it for over $1000. This is the place to buy. The instructions weren't crystal clear but we got the hang of it. There were a couple of random springs with no instructions as to what to do with them. AI came in handy. There was one piece of metal that was slightly bent and prevented the top grate from sliding in but it was easily remedied with a mallet. It is precisely 30dx40w without the skirt. I'm not impressed with the wooden dowels and am ordering other types of perches to install. For this price those tiny little side issues were totally worth it. Fantastic price and delivery of a quality bird cage (the 36x28 dome top is perfect for my active African grey parrot. A steal at $600 with Wayfair's massive sale! I am upgrading the caster wheels (Service Caster 5" wheels for $49) to give it more height and easier under-cage cleaning. Love the white color! My grey is very happy and I can put in more toys and a giant rope boing for her to hang out on. Once I get the new wheels (the stock ones are fine, it's just my preference) I'll add the seed guard..
