Docking one star for the slight lack of instructions on how to put this together and that parts weren’t labeled, but the thing still went together pretty quickly and the materials seemed good quality.

It went together very easily, thoguh the instructions were minimal and there were screws, etc, included that were not even listed in the instructions and unnecessary for the construction of the piece.

This smells so great! Its a nice wood smell. No plastic or factory smell. Super easy assembly and i think you could even do cut peel and stick paper in a pretty pattern for the back piece or while thing. So many options. You can paint any color. Or if for kids id def minimum waterproof it before building to clean and last longer. I switched the cubes for seagrass. My daughters little toys just seemed cluttered. if you have books its a great way for kids to choose one. Overall nice addition. Nice to get toys controlled. Have fun def great for price i really recommend it.

The description of this not needing assembly is wrong. It comes in a box and in pieces so assembly is required. However, the saving grace is that it was the easiest thing I have to put together from wayfair! The instructions were very easy, only 6 steps. The pieces fit together perfectly and it is a nice solid, sturdy wood. It also fits very well with all decor in my room. Highly recommend if you don’t mind a little assembly!

I am not in love with this bookshelf, and Ill explain why. If you purchase this I would suggest staining it before putting it together. The color is very neutral and you may like it if thats your thing. Positives include being able to recreate it as I plan to do. It can be turned vertical or horizontal, which saves space. It also has a lot of storage. If you enjoy recreating purchase this.

I had high hopes for this solid wood 8-cube organizer, but I was a little disappointed. On the positive side, the piece is made of real wood, not composite or particle board, which is a rarity and much appreciated. However, the wood is quite soft, so it dents and scratches easily—something to keep in mind if its going in a kids room where it’ll face lots of wear and tear. One of my biggest concerns is the size of the cube compartments. They’re noticeably smaller than the standard 12-inch cubes you typically find, which makes them less practical for storing toys and books. Assembly was another pain point. While the instructions provided were simple, they were incomplete. There were no details on how to affix the screws for the backboard, assemble the included fabric boxes, or secure the organizer to the wall for safety. If you’ve built furniture with similar features, you might be able to figure it out, but full instructions should really be included for everyone. The provided Allen wrenches were frustrating to use—they’re a very tight fit and can easily strip the screws, which also seem to be of lower quality. I’d recommend using a slightly smaller Allen wrench from your own toolbox if you have one. The packaging could have been better. While the unit arrived with only minor damage (a cracked piece on the joining cutouts that I can fix with wood glue), it wasn’t the most secure packaging. That said, I do appreciate the flexibility of being able to stain the solid wood to match my kids’ room, and I love that it’s real wood. Overall, this organizer has potential, but the smaller cubes, lack of instructions, and assembly challenges make it hard to recommend unless you’re handy and willing to put in some extra effort.

This is a pretty decent quality storage shelf and we love it for our play area in the basement. It was easy to assemble, although it came with a bunch of extra screws and pieces that don’t go with it at all which was kind of odd. I love that it came with actual cloth storage baskets too and that they have sturdy handles on them. Great quality and I think they’ll hold up pretty well with the kids even. The wood itself is a little soft though, and does ding and dent pretty easily. But overall we really like this product and think it looks great as toy storage in our playroom downstairs!
