The ottoman is as described and will work for us. But: It had obviously been abused, then hastily and poorly repacked - hardware all loose in the box, parts scuffed, and one critical joint cracked in two places. We didn’t have the luxury of time to return, so I glued & clamped it and it’s OK. The cushion has no means to retain it to the wood base - It just sits on top - so a modest wind will just blow it away. So we’re going to sew & staple on some plastic Velcro strips to fix that. We did not sign up for a project, but that’s what we got. At its Wayfair price, if in good condition and with a yeah-but on cushion retention, it would be quite a good value. In our case, well, maybe not. But it will serve its purpose and looks nice (after restaining the marred wooden parts). It’s also one of the few designs that are actually low enough to serve comfortably as an ottoman - Most are at least as tall as chair seat-heights. This one is comfortable to use.
