LOVE THIS BED! We purchased a king sized bed for our main bedroom and put our queen sized mattress and adjustable base in one of our guest rooms. It seems very difficult to find a metal bed frame that is compatible with an
adjustable base most are platform bed frames and are not sturdy enough to take the slats out and still leave it squared up. I literally spent HOURS online looking for a compatible bed in metal. This one fits the bill, though. Bed was delivered a day earlier than projected. Packaging was good and protected the pieces well--no dents or scratches. Husband put it together quickly. A small wrench and an Allen key were provided, and he says these would be adequate for someone without power tools, but he used a cordless drill to tighten everything quickly and without frustration. The bed is sturdily constructed and heavy. The headboard is taller than the footboard. I may be remembering incorrectly since I looked at so many, but I believe the listed specifications have the headboard and footboard being the same height. I was willing to deal with that, but this is better. The color looks very dark, almost black, unless you are close up and have light on it. Then it is a very very dark brown. Really cant say enough positive things about it, especially if you, like me, have spent ages looking for a metal bed that is truly compatible with an adjustable base.
