The unit has to be installed on a stud, so it cannot be centered with the TV. It should come with proper hardware to install on drywall without it having to be installed on a stud. The hardware package came with 5 screws and 5 concrete anchors, even thought there are 6 holes on the center bar. The directions show the beauty end pieces needed to be put on after installing the center bar, but the wire fingers on the sides will slide out if the beauty piece is not put on first. I tightened the shelves with the two screws below each shelf, however, a slight pressure on the left or right side of the shelf causes the shelf to tilt. Pros: Looks good Cons: shelves tilt, must install on a stud
