Bauhaus Extendable Oak Solid Wood Dining Table

Wow, this table is substantial. Really thick solid wood, very heavy table. All the screws lined up. The leaves slide in and out easily. The biggest thing to know is that the instructions are not clear. For example, we added the legs as directed only to find out the braces needed to get added AFTER, also per the instructions. So we had to uninstall the legs, put the braces on, and put back the legs. All in all, two people can do it in an hour.

Beautiful solid table. The two leaves offer a unique option for dining with different sized groups of people.

The quality of this table is outstanding. That is why I felt sad to let it go. There is a major design flaw with it. The clearance for seating is almost zero. The table top and the frame are so thick that your thigh grazes when getting in and out of the chair. I would say for an adult with avg weight, it’s not a comfortable table. I definitely do not recommend it. I have to reiterate, the quality is just unbeatable, but sadly they overlooked practicality.

So I like this table, it’s very solid, my only complaint would be the grooves between boards have a powdery substance (cleary to make it look nice upon delivery) that instantly basically cracks off.
