Simple replacement of an old brass mail slot. Due to its configuration, our handyman needed to extend the slot in the door. It’s a bit too basic and doesn’t cover the inside cut out in the door.. Polina. Alexandria, VA. Sun Oct 18 2026

i've been looking for a wall-mounted mailbox for my craftsman home for some time now. they were either too modern, too victorian, or just too generic. this mailbox...wow! i get so many compliments. the stained-glass insert is so beautiful and the way it reflects light...i just love it. it arrived when expected and very well-packed to prevent any damage. recommend!!!! note: i purchased the architectural bronze with gold iridescent glass.. This handsome USA-crafted mailbox will be the perfect complement to my hot-off-the-press DIY timber frame post. The architectural bronze is flawless and has attractive burnished highlights along the edges. I’m looking forward to installing it atop the post come spring. Very well made. Good size to replace our tiny mailbox on our newly purchased home. It will look much better once I get it installed than the old one. My only very minor complaint is the lid doesn’t stay open on its own. It doesn’t open far enough to stay open. Again, not a big issue but usually grab the mail on the way into the house with a baby and other junk in my hands. I’ll update with pics once installed. Update install was easy. Looks so much better and feels way nicer than than the old one. My son added a t-Rex sticker which really sets it apart. Great size for mail. Feels like it’ll last for a while. Also, if it’s in the elements it should stay pretty dry inside. Mine is under porch roof so doesn’t get direct rain but it probably would be fine if it did.. Andrew. Wilmington, DE. Thu Oct 31 2019
