This shade sail is perfect for lowering the temperature in the pool. The water was 94° and not conducive to swimming. The day the shade sail was installed, the water temperature dropped to a refreshing 84° with the same high temperature in the high 90s.The pool can now be enjoyed all day. With UV indexes high every day here in Georgia (could not get the address listed to change) a portion of the pool is shaded all day. With the noted change in water temperature, another shade sail was ordered to block the sun from patio doors facing SW. That will be added soon and a review forthcoming.. Barbara. Pine Bluff, AR. We got 2 different kinds of shades that were made with different material. This one is awesome. We got it to cover our back porch to help keep kids cool during the summer and to protect our patio furniture. We are impressed with the quality. It has good stitching and is sheer enough to let through a slight breeze. It’s kinda got a plastic feel to it and Hopefully it will last through the different seasons. We’d recommend.. Katie. Approximate how much area you want to shade. Triangle, square, or rectangle depends on the number of existing poles, roofs, trees, concrete walls, etc. Use cable wires to connect the shade sail to hardware if necessary. If you don’t use cable wires, keep a 0.5 - 2 ft space between D rings and poles to give space for the hardware kits that come with adjustable turnbuckles to tighten & create tension.
