This mailbox is beautiful, and we've gotten many compliments already since installing it. Installation was easy. Just note that the mailbox is quite large — great for handling lots of mail, but be mindful of the space it requires. The only downside is the flap where you're supposed to deposit mail is very tough to push open. Our mail carrier ends up depositing mail through the larger door below (where you retrieve mail instead), which works fine, but it's a bit silly that the flap is so stiff. Exactly as expected. Strong, high quality mailbox that arrived quickly. Installation: Easy to attach to a mounting plate using the holes on the bottom of the exterior sides. It’s petty heavy, so be sure to attach to a strong post - I got the Gibraltar Landover post (which is actually hollow) and slid it over a 4x4 sunk 17” into the ground which is 30” above ground (so the 4x4 is a total of 47”). It looks great and was definitely worth the money to upgrade from the low-quality, dented mailbox that the prior owners had chosen. I got custom decals elsewhere to finish the look.. Marion.
