It is very easy to wash up with a rag or a hose, messes are totally easy to clean. This type of material you can leave out all year long in the snow and the rain will not hurt the material. Directions were easy and clear, all parts labeled nearly, says it takes two people to assemble, but I did it myself in an hour. 'Lots of screws all put in with the provided Alan wrench which got a bit tiring, but not terrible. I might suggest a rubber mallet as helpful, but not critical. I have a small balcony in a rental beachfront condo and this table and chair set works well. I have had a set like this I ordered 7 years ago and it has been on my balcony facing the beach everyday since then except for when we had to bring it in for hurricanes.
