It went together pretty easily but it takes awhile. I want to say it took me about 12 hours to get it completely together. The instructions are easy to understand but some of the bolt sizes it says to use are not correct. There are a lot of 2-14” bolts and a lot of 2-12” bolts. However it tells you to use the 2-14” bolts in almost everything and you run out by the time you actually need the 2-14” bolts. I ended up going back and installing the longer 2-12” bolts in a lot of places where there is thicker lumber and called for the 2-14” bolts to be able to have enough 2-14” bolts to use where they were actually needed. Also I flipped the swing and slide so I could have the play set oriented the way I wanted in my yard. The directions don’t explain how to do that but it’s easy enough to figure out. If you have a heat gun use it to assemble the slide it’s super helpful. The whole thing is a bit smaller than I expected. It’s perfect for my daughter who just turned four but I was hoping this would be something she could use until she was maybe 8-10. I’m worried she will grow out of this sooner than I had hoped. This play set is absolutely massive(literally delivered on a semi) and I honestly wish I would have just paid for install. Lol Its taken us forever to get it complete and we still have a little left. We did have an issue with a missing box of wood but wayfair customer service was incredible. Ive never had better customer service and its now made me a lifelong customer. They went above and beyond helping to fix the issues we had and make it right. Ive never had a company of this size that someone answers to help immediately and you not be pushed to 10 different people or waiting forever. Very impressed with them and the playset. First off my grandsons 3, 6 and 7 love this swing set. It is very sturdy. THAT BEING SAID we opted to put the set together instead of professional installation - WHAT A NIGHTMARE! The set was delivered via truckline and sent on a pallet (took about 3 weeks to receive). There were quiet a few boxes. First off the boards were not in a "specific" box (for example the tower boards mixed with swing boards. etc) SOME of the boards (not all) had the item # on them. The hardware - well we had probably 5 bags in different boxes with 5/8 washer. and there are A LOT of screws and nails, etc. You are going to get duplicate of a lot of the hardware. The directions were NOT GOOD AND ALL OVER THE PLACEI .It listed all the hardware and all the boards with extra boards that are not even for this set and not all the boards have holes drilled! They send 2 different drill bits but we had to purchase a paddle drill bit too. It took my husband and daughter from May 24th until June 9th to complete (doing a little everyday but was many rainy days hampering everything. ). If you chose to take on this task my opinion open all boxes and sort boards that are alike together. I also took ziplock bags and put all the hardware that was the same together because so many screws and nails were the same. If it is in the budget HIRE A PROFESSIONAL! Good luck and enjoy!!!!. We researched swing sets for so long. We read so many reviews and stressed over it. We finally went with this one because it had a lot going on but was also compact for our small space. We absolutely love it. It looks incredible. There are so many things to do on it and it looks so beautiful. Someone even asked me if it was the stock photo! So yes, the photo I attached is actually our yard! It took my father four full days to build. He is extremely handy and good at these things so it wasn’t too hard for him, just very time-consuming. We bought this for our 6 year old and she loves it. My husband and I (well, mostly him) put it together ourselves and while it took quite a while (because there's like 8000 pieces to it), the instructions were surprisingly clear. Some of the wood was warped and didn't fit together very we, but with a few tweaks we got it to work. Make sure there's a strong person available on delivery day because the driver needed my husband's help to get it off the truck. No way I would have been able to move those boxes. It took a long time for just one person to put together but the functionality is great. Appears to be great for all ages and leaves room for imagination. Our play set has already been a garden, submarine, pirate ship and an alien spaceship. It held up after all those missions! This is a great set! We were thrilled to get such a good deal too. As other reviews mentioned, it did take six hours to build and some holes needed to be adjusted, but no hardware was missing. Don’t even attempt without a drill and have a second (possibly third) person to help. The “sandbox” area underneath doesn’t seem appropriate for sand because the planks are too low. I can’t imagine it holding much sand and a kid sitting on top, but it’s fine. We weren’t putting sand anyway. The kids think it’s a little secret hangout to play with other toys. You do need to use anchors or else the set will move with enough kids on it. The anchors are VERY long, so we bought shorter ones because we are anchoring into turf and not thick sod. If you live somewhere where you can have real grass, the anchors it comes with will be fine…. I have the kids swing opposite each other to balance out their weight just in case. Slide is sturdy and fast, but is mounted well for safe landing. The wide swing can hold two kids - that’s been a hit. What I’ve noticed, it’s a set for smaller children… like preferably toddlers. My daughters are 6 and 9 and they say it feels small, but still play on it fine. My oldest will have to eventually crouch and crawl, but kids are nimble lol. My son is 3 and it’s just perfect for him! We already had a party with a bunch of kids. At one point there were about 10 kids crawling all over this thing and it held up fine!
